    Skylark, formally Care Net Pregnancy Center, is in need of baby care products. The next time you are out, would you pick up formula, baby food, supplies or baby care products for April Showers? You can then take those items to one of our Skylark locations, on Community Road in Brunswick, in St. Marys, in Jesup or any April Shower drop-off site near you.     Celebrate Recovery is a biblical and balanced program that helps us overcome our hurts, hang-ups, and habits.  It is based on the actual words of Jesus rather than psychological theory.  26 years ago, Saddleback Church launched Celebrate Recovery with 43 people. It was designed as a program to help those struggling with hurts, habits and hang-ups by showing them the loving power of Jesus Christ through a recovery process. Celebrate Recovery has helped more than 21,000 people at Saddleback, attracting over 70% of its members from outside the church. Eighty-five percent of the people who go through the program stay with the church and nearly half serve as church volunteers.

  • Walk for Veterans

    American Legion Post 9, Brunswick, Ga. will be hosting a Walk for Veterans benefit to help us help veterans. It will be on the 26th of April 2018. Registration will be at J Street and Newcastle starting at 8:00 AM. The walk will step off at 9:00 AM and will wind through the streets of Downtown Brunswick. It should be finished by noon.

    The registration fee will be $10 except for minors under 12 years of age whom may walk for free. Breakfast biscuits from McDonald’s will be free for the first 50 walkers. Congressman Buddy Carter has donated 130 packages of peanuts. Water will be free.  I encourage all walkers to wear comfortable shoes. Everyone are invited to come and walk with us.

    Cole Tucker and Friends at the Ritz Theater!

    Family friendly event for all ages. Cole Tucker is a 15-yr old self taught ventriloquist & his talent is unmatched. He will be performing & singing with some of his “friends” on stage & teaching the audience the importance of being and having a friend.

    Cole Tucker is a student at Lowndes County High School and has performed at retirement homes, festivals, and other events around the South. Now he is making his professional debut with his first full-length show featuring some of his favorite puppets right here in the Brunswick, Georgia.
    In recognition of amazing contributions made in the community by Saved By Grace, Cole Tucker will be donating a portion of the proceeds from each ticket to support the organization’s efforts to meet the needs of the homeless in the area. “I am so glad to be able to kick off this new chapter in my career as a ventriloquist here in Brunswick”, said Cole Tucker, “but most of all, I am excited to be able to give back to the community through this performance. The hope that is given to those in need in the community by Saved by Grace is amazing.     Golden Isles Arts & Humanities  and Driftwood Bistro invite you to support The Golden Isles Penguin Bash on Sunday, April 29th from 4 PM – 7 PM at the Driftwood Bistro on Jekyll Island.

    Attendees will be treated to a delicious Low Country Boil with dessert and a sneak preview of Disney’s Peter Pan Jr performed by cast members of the Golden Isles Penguin Project. 

    There will also be some great silent auction items to bid on including stays at the Westin Hotel and Hampton Inn on Jekyll and a round of golf for 4 at Frederica Golf Club! 

    Tickets are only $50/person and proceeds from the event will support the upcoming production of Disney’s Peter Pan Jr which will take the Ritz Theatre stage June 15 -17, 2018.
